Yes and motorcycles are deathtraps.


I'm looking at every way I can reasonably and cost effectively shave weight, but until I'm willing to trailer my car, I'd never do anything which would compromise factory safety levels. The moment I make the decision to go that route I'd consider it near suicidal to not have a properly fabricated full cage put into the car.


What do you think is going to happen in a side-impact collision on the street with carbon fiber doors? Why do you think the factory doors weigh so much /with the glass out/?
