Also the stock tires are junk when new. Don't try to save them they are just awful tires for this or any other car. Maybe they'd be good on a "sport" Prius but that's an oxymoron anyway. |
You're right that stretching the stock tires onto 9" wheels would be silly, but 9" wheels with 245 width tires is actually ideal for this chassis, at least for people who autocross/track their cars.
