They are not useless due to wickers. The wickers are tall enough to still trip the boundary layer; thus creating a low-pressure pocket behind the wicker to increase evacuation. Without the wicker, I could see flow going into the vents at speed due to the high-pressure zone from the windshield. This is educated speculation though as we did not do a ton of testing on the rear louvers.
I think we'll look into doing a small run for those interested then! Thanks for the feedback guys!
