With variable valve timing and direct injection along with reworked internals by Toyota, the engine should be able crank out at least 200 hp. In Japan, the EJ20 DOHC with AVCS was able to push out 190 hp so I can't see why the boxer in the FT can't do the same.
The only real problem might be cost but with all this sharing going on I hope that Toyota has been able to save some money which in turn could help us.
