A bit of height to get out of the road spray, more torque to pass quickly without having to be in 3rd or 4th, quieter, better sound system, etc. Also, if it were uglier I would care less about the rock chips...
Everything you said is also true, but when I drive the FRS to work, I prefer to take back roads time penalties be damned.
