I think track mode might have more to do with how much throttle gets cut vs how much brake modulating gets done. The VSC module can’t decide how much power to cut. It can only report wheel slip over CAN. Throttle modulation is probably done by the ecu somehow.
I’m still puzzled over the difference in VSC sport button behaviors. I can’t get hill start to work either. Both our cars are 2013 limited, both with 2017/2018 abs modules, only difference is the cluster. I’ll do the cluster swap to see if that changes the button behavior and the hill start. I’ve always wanted oil temp on the dash anyway. @
