Water based paint is good for the environment, and OK for you.
There are some really good acrylic (water based) paints out there now. They just need to be applied properly. Plants still trying to use the same process as solvent based will continue to have hard, brittle, easy to chip results.
As much as it pains me to say it Ford has done a really good job in upgrading their processes and have a good durable surface using almost identical products.
