They reason why you want a full tank is because during the storage period the gas tank can rust over time. However it won't do this in 1 year so don't worry buddy

I actually used to store my WRX with less than 25% gas for 5 years and I never had issues. I just take extra care with this one because it's a brand new car and do it the way websites, dealers and members suggested.

Don't worry too much.
Just next year try to do it the suggested ways.

Again, a good example is my WRX when i used to store it.
No battery tender, no oil change prior to storage, left car in gear and hand break up and in those 5 years the car had 0 issues and drove like new and had zero rust.

So just don't worry to much. You did good enough for this year.
