Low Oil Pressure?
Hey guys,
I’m not entirely sure if I have a problem here but I am a little concerned...basically my engine’s oil pressure doesn’t seem to increase past 40psi after full warm up. I know the general rule of thumb is at least 10psi per 1000rpm but at 5k rpm and above, the oil pressure doesn’t go past 40psi.
I initially thought I spun another bearing but my idle oil pressure is at ~10psi with no oil light at all.
I just changed the oil to Motul 0w-30 from straight 30wt (Lucas Break-in Oil). Do you think it has to do with changing oil viscosity or do you think have another engine problem....?
