I don't know that it has anything to do with the car as much as the aggressiveness of the drivers. If the Long Beach event was any indication, Pro Drifters, regardless of car, are always driving on the edge and run a 50/50 chance of scraping a wall regardless.
Like I said earlier in this thread, its good to have sponsors, because you can drive like that. Maybe 5% of the folks that pay their own money for this (or any) car are going to drive it that much at risk. I would think if it were a $15K car it would be more likely frankly.
