Car prices in Europe

Hi everyone!

I was looking at the different Toyota sites for scandinavian countries + some other nearby countries.. .. and then some more.
I took note of the Aygo price and GT 86 price. I also looked at the price difference between the two cars (GT 86 price divided on Aygo price). Basically how many Aygos can you buy instead of a GT86.

Sweden (SEK): 101.900 vs 304.900= 3
United K. (GBP): 7999 vs 24999 = 3,1
France (euro): 9.400 vs 29.900 = 3,2
Germany (euro): 8.990 vs 29.990 = 3,3
Norway (nok): 131.400 vs 459.000= 3,5
Iceland (isk) 2.195.000 vs 8.090.000 = 3,7
Finland (euro): 10.844 vs 46.624 = 4,3
Netherlands (euro): 7.990 vs 39.990= 5
Denmark (dkk): 79.990 vs 539.997 = 6,7

Prices translated into USD - (Highest GT86 price last)
Germany :10903 vs 36371
France : 11400 vs 36371
United k.: 12384 vs 38705
Sweden: 14631 vs 43778
Netherlands: 9690 vs 48499
Finland : 13151 vs 56545
Iceland : 17057 vs 62867
Norway: 21648 vs 75620
Denmark:13074 vs 88263

Price difference between Aygo and GT86 in USD
France: 24971
Germany: 25468
United k.: 26321
Sweden: 29147
Netherlands: 38809
Finland: 43394
Iceland 45810
Norway: 53972
Denmark: 75189

Some notes:
-There are differences in options so when prices are translated into USD, some countries may have a car with more options in their standard price compared to others. (I know Norway and Sweden basically have the top spec GT86)

-Some countries have much higher saleries than others. So even if the price is translated into USD. It does not say anything about how much you have to work for a car.

-The price difference between the Aygo and the 86 is not that different. Often around 3,5.

- Denmark is a country where (small) ECO cars are highly valued it seems! Aygo is cheap there (cheaper than in Sweden, and way cheaper compared to Norway). But it is also the country in this comparison with the highest GT86 price! For the price of 1 GT86 you can buy 6 Aygos and still have 9819USD left!

-Netherlands is like Denmark. Only cheaper, especially on the GT86. Best price for Toyota Aygo in Europe?

-Cars are generally very expensive in Norway. I considered Aygo to be cheap here. It isn't!

-Being a Norwegian car enthusiast, the problem is not that I would have to pay 10.745 USD more for an Aygo compared to the Germans, basically twice the price. It is still a relative small amount of money (in the car world).
The problem is having to pay around 39000 USD extra for an GT86! Then we are talking big money! Atleast when looking at the total price.
(and don't get me started on cars with bigger engines.. Things will look much worse)

-Cars are very affordable in Germany! And prices/taxes for big engines are nothing to worry about in UK, France or Sweden.

-Car enthusiasts in Norway, Denmark, Iceland and Finland are being screwed, some more than others..
