It's Lithium Polymer, not Lithium Ion. It's safe...enough.
Pretty cool, while electric cars do tend to be heavier than ICE cars but at 1460kg (3250lbs) and 75kw (for an electric motor) seems decent enough. A 37kwh pack might do 70 miles, more or less.
