Because OP is dreaming anyway and paying an importer for a JZX81 is easier than JZ swapping an MX83 since the forums don't hold your hand for you.
You're right though, JZ swapping a cressida is probably a far more practical option because you'll be able to pass on single-lane roads, go through drive-thrus, and insure the damn thing. It doesn't have the allure of something omgjdm though, if you want that you have to import a markii/cresta/chaser. And those look cooler too.
