Anyone else do that - or was I just weird?

At the rate my father and brother's were dragging home old cars my mother thought our place WAS a "country junk yard".
At one point there were both a 1935 and a 1936 La Salle sedan parts cars at the very back of the lot. There was a 1953 Jowett Javelin parts car, a 1956 Pontiac 2 door hard top (with front end damage) hot rod project behind the rear garage and a 1931 Durant four door sedan parts car on the east side of the rear garage. A 1939 La Salle two door businessman's coupe restoration project sat behind our house as did my oldest brother's 1954 Jowett Javelin and my other brother's 1947 Austin A-40. (A perfectly good running car he drove home and then ripped the running gear out of to put into his 1947 MG TC that had been butchered.) Dad's 1960 Buick Invicta four door hard top sat in front of west garage door. His 1965 Corvair Corsa 180 Turbo was always packed between the houses.
The two stage garage consisted of a large 1 1/2 storey over sized two car front with a five car storage addition behind it. The front garage was home to the 1934 La Salle convertible coupe, a Hall Scott four cylinder engine out of a post WW1 JN4 Jenny biplane, a 193? Scott Flying Squirrel 500cc twin cylinder, liquid cooled two-stroke motorcycle and a 1936 Cord 810 Westchester sedan. In the back was a 1931 Cadillac V16 7 passenger town sedan, a 1932 Frontenac four door sedan, 1938 Cadillac 60 Special sedan, a 1939 La Salle four door sedan and my oldest brother's 1965 Corvette coupe.

Yes, looking in junk yards was a thing!
Motor City Auto Parts, (later renamed Dom's) was just a 15 minute drive from my parent's house.
