Assuming most of you don't read french. This shop dyno tested 87 vs 91 vs 94 octane in a twin. Turns out they got 6hp more on 94 vs 91 (166whp vs 160). Tests were done back to back, same car, drained tank. There's certainly a margin of error, but just an indication.

Also, am I correct in assuming you don't have a tune either? I think if you and the other guy got a tune, you would see a significant difference in what your car can pull numbers wise, vs his. Not sure how the ecu actually learns and whatnot, but at this point of your build, maybe look into an OFT tune, they're reasonably priced, and reviews are good.
Ill eventually tune it... Jnow someone with BRZedit and he's gonna lend it to me so i can tune my car
