Ride was pretty tight, but was pretty good on the freeway. Beat you up in town. I'm not sure I'd want something quite that... severe again. 'Specially at my age.

Nope. Pretty sure all latches are unfinished steel/chrome on most cars.

How much does it reduce who knows but it must be enough if a Toyota engineer took the time to develop it and get it to production.
