I wish LAPD had just been dismantled when Bush proposed it after the culmination of the Rampart scandal. It is just as corrupt and mismanaged as NYPD in the 70's. IIRC they were one failed drug test away from all of LAPD being shut down and having the city of LA policed by the LAC Sherrifs.
