So you must be working on a cast piece then; a stamped piece would probably be more expensive and require large equipment. That should keep the price reasonable. Casting is practical for large scale production. Fabrication is generally better for small run due to up front costs. I don't know how many of these they think they will sell or if there is some new cheap casting technology but I can't see casting being more practical.
