Like Mike had stated. We do not recommend a heat blanket for the turbo due to it's location which gets plenty of airflow from under the vehicle. The heat you're seeing under the hood is due to the airflow extracting heat from the intercooler. Now you know why we don't want the turbo sitting right in front of the engine giving off additional radiant heat and contributing to even higher under hood temps. In addition, there's a heat shield between the turbine housing and transmission to shield some of the radiant heat away from the tranny.
