I placed a metal pan under the car and it's definitely coming from the oil drain (no trace of leaks anywhere). If it's cross threaded are they going to find a way to leave me stuck footing the bill to replace the oil pan?
Happened to me twice on a new car and I actually made a thread about it. The drip drip usually stops after a week or so and the volume isn't affected. Now I just tell whoever is changing my oil to make sure the plug is tight.
