Around May is still Spring, but honestly, I don't remember too much about the heat in California other than it gets hot when it wants to. I think the heat peaks around July, so just come on down if you want. Bring some sunblock though.
I remember that at the very least if you're at Autoclub Speedway in Fontana, the heat can get very unbearable. That was a big problem for me at Subiefest but not so much for 86fest, where not only were they lucky to have cooler weather, they also had several shaded areas and no BS shortage of water.
Anyway, I need to make a mental note that I need to go outside more. Lol.
