If you are talking about a newer Forester then I am not too surprised. AWD can’t fix the tall-ride-height, heavy-weight, narrow-wheelbase architecture. The AWD also has an open e-diff, so AWD is electronically controlled using individual brakes, but not like that matters much for most driving conditions with the underpowered motor. The current Forester hasn’t had great reviews in ride quality and handling. I don’t believe that is the case at all for older Foresters, especially for the Forester XT.
