Update:
Finally some solid weather to work on the car. I changed the oil and installed the Perrin rear shift mount. It was a little bit of a pain to install. I think on a lift you would have no problem but on jacks, you have some awkward angles and limited leverage. It took me a lot longer than it should. I took it for a quick spin. It feels a little more solid when going into gears. The throws are still light but it feels like a little more of a thud type feeling when you shift into a gear. Not sure if it's that significantly different from stock but I got it for $30 from a forum member.
All in all, I'm not sure if it's really a great upgrade but what the heck, cheap and not too much of a hassle.
Perrin vs OEM:
The Perrin urethane felt much more solid than the flimsy rubbery OEM mount.
