Quite possible. And you did read that bottom part here last week, yes. At least one owners replacement HPFP(with same serial), didn't fix the issue.

Now it's my turn to play "I think I remember last week...". Pretty sure one owner reported a VIN higher than the 9026 cutoff in the TSB and has the chrips. Yup, page 6 of this thread, reply #115.
