I'll join in - aesthetics are really the only big difference, so which do you better like the looks of?
I think the new Toyota front end only served to make the Subie's bumper look good in comparison. The FR-S still looks the best overall. I think I'd at least look around for a gently used, last-year FR-S first.
But that's not what you're asking so all other things being equal, pick the one you like to look at.
