I've seen reports of as high as 80psi when cold even with 0w-20 on these engines. I was apprehensive about your use of washers too knowing this. I can't imagine really wanting more. The pressure bypass does not seem to be a problem on this engine. Especially if you use heavier oil your pressure may be excessive on cold starts. What made you want to try the washers to begin with?
