No, no tax relief for the car but the mileage payments are not taxable so I come out better in the end anyway.
My last job was 1 1/2 commute and I didn't get a cent in mileage. I put almost as many miles on my car then as I do now and didn't get a penny back so this is a huge plus no matter how you look at it. Not to mention I also get to buy a brand new car every 4 or 5 years and the wife can't say shit about it.
