In reality, I've been dedicating myself into running laps at my local recreation center and also a local high school track as much as I can throughout each week.
I used to weigh closer to 195 lbs, and I've lost about 10 lbs so far... I'm trying to reach a steady 170-175 lbs, and I think I'll be good as long as I maintain the habit of consistent exercise and diet.
After trimming off the excess weight, you'd be surprised at how much more athletic and more energetic one can feel when performing 25 minute track sessions during HPDE events (as @
wbradley pointed out).
