I wouldn't go any cheaper than BC monotubes, $1k is really your entry point for changing springs and dampers for any car these days, even if you're looking at lowering springs plus quality dampers from Koni or Bilstein it will approach that price point. For full coilover replacement Bilstein B14, ST, and Tein are decent alternatives. Tein and BC will allow lower ride heights without bottoming than Bilstein or ST (budget branded KW) due to their designs, I believe the Germans ride better at higher ride heights than the budget Asian coilovers but are worse at lower ride heights.
