My question is whether this stuff will hold up when the skies decide to let loose on me at some point during my 20 hour adventure. Anyone have any experience with this?
Make sure and get a minimum 1/3 overlap, preferrably 1/2 overlap, (these are based on the width of the tape) and water will not get between the tape and you'll be fine. When I worked in the shop, we used to mask off cars days in advance, it is stupid dusty here, so we would end up washing some cars three, four times before they went into the booth to be sprayed with a high pressure washer and the only time we have to remask is if the overlap wasn't enough.
