For Those of Us with a Single-Exit Exhaust

Now that I have joined the ranks of the "Single-Exit" club I am looking at my rear diffuser and really wanting something to cover the empty "hole" left over. I don't think that I would want something permanent, but removable, just in case I should ever feel the need to.

Naturally since I track, autocross and show the car, I would want the piece to be secure as well as look good. Since there are no aftermarket parts that fit this role I am thinking of fabricating something that will work well and I may be persuaded to make more than one or for both sides in the event that there is enough interest since a cover for the left side will not fit on the right and vice-versa.

I have pretty much narrowed it down to three possibilities... I can make a paintable, aluminum piece that would work nicely (easiest), I could use a fiberglass or carbon fiber with a clear coat (hardest).

I'll be posting my progress here as I work so if anyone has any feedback, please feel free to chime in!

Scott
