HKS Header Installed!

Had my HKS headers installed(after almost two weeks after receiving them)!!!
Car runs totally different now. Rev much more freely, and a little more oomph.
Can't really notice the torque-dip... much, but it is still there.

I had it installed by "Exhaust World" in Northbridge(via recommendation by Steve T @ City Toyota) by Peter. Address: 404 Newcastle St, Perth WA 6831 Phone08) 9228 3244.

He runs the store solo and is very good. It's one of them old fashioned no bullshit workshop/garages. Price paid for the install was VERY FAIR.. and cheap considering from what other places I have heard. Highly recommend this guy to any Perthie who wants their headers installed.

I arrived there 9:30am. Car on hoist with fan blowing on the header(to cool it down quicker). Header was removed and replaced with the HKS very quickly. I left the workshop before 11:00am. Fantastic service.

Anyway.. as always.. some happy snaps while work was being undertaken.
I didn't have to use the extra sensor cable(extension?) supplied with it either.
Also applied some of the heat wrap to the hoses(radiator hose) and heater? hose. You'll see in the pics below anyway..

OEM Header Removal

Radiator hose which needs to be wrapped.

Fumoto Valve (F108N)

Old OEM Header

No Header

HKS Header Installed

Sensors connected

Heat Wrap
Put some around the radiator hose. Hose clamp around it for good measure.

Part of the heater hose was wrapped too. Hose is about 4-5cm away from the header, but thought it a good idea to wrap it anyway.

Perrin/Cusco install

EDIT: Some additional info on the HKS Headers
