When I saw the lifters, a tear rolled down my cheek. I was suspicious this engine was designed for high revs. Everything I thought was going to happen with this car is happening.
I figured the engine would make big power factory. 500hp crank on stock block is awesome.
I said the transmission would hold power better than expectations, and it has exceeded many expectations based on its "medium torque capacity" rating.
And I figured high rpms were going to be easy. Not because of subaru's rep, but because Toyota/Yamaha developed the heads.
This motor has been a beast so far. I don't see why 400whp wouldn't be pretty reliable. But for me, 300-320whp is just fantastic.
