Agreed. Typically thicker oil just allows you to either last a little longer until you die or allows you to stop the clatter when your bearing clearances (tolerances
) are big.
Engine cooling is critical.
Also, the FA20 in the VA WRX comes with an oil cooler (basic, pathetic one but) from the factory.
