Pulled tranny today...something serious grenaded inside, probably due to the curbing that grabbed the tranny mount and bent it back 2 inches jamming the driveshaft into that tailshaft. The resulting binding flexed the case and cracked it in multiple spots resulting in fluid loss. When I drained the remaining fluid all 3, very damaged, no longer round, detent balls fell out along with a bunch brass dust and metallic chunks on the drain plug magnet. Also found both motor mounts broken shifting everything backwards and the Tomei midpipe was dented badly. 34k of track use and the clutch, pp & flywheel looked pretty good and original TOB still spins freely. Even so, all will be replaced when new tranny is installed.

Got the motor mounts replaced and motor realigned where it belongs today, went and grabbed the new transmission out of storage. Ordered new trans mount and exhaust. Should be driving again soon.

Probably gonna send the old tranny to Jack's Transmissions for a full rebuild, gear coating, new rear case and carbon ceramic synchro's.
