I can confirm from my own car that a 17x8" ET35 wheel fitted with 225/45R17 Pirelli P-Zero All Seasons does not rub at all with no other modifications (and my particular wheel choice clears the Performance Pack Brembo's on my 2020 BRZ no problem, is flow-formed and weighs 17 pounds without tires mounted, so your wish list is satisfied
).
Looks what I would call "factory flush" at stock ride height, and with the rear negative camber gained with a lowering spring drop and front camber to match via camber bolts and Pedders top mounts it looks just a *little* tucked at the top.
I almost feel like an ET40 or higher offset would be a little too tucked in, aesthetically, with an 8" width on 225/45's. That's why I've been hesitant to go to 18's with 225/40's, because there are only a couple of lightweight 18x8" ET35 options I've found, and I don't "love" either of them for various reasons. Almost everything else I've found is ET40 or higher offset.
If Apex offered a 17x8" or 18x8" ET35 wheel, I'd be all over it.
