They missed a lot of terms like: a right old knees up!
They also substituted "idiot" for the true definition; one who gives himself pleasure. But that's OK because over here we say jerk, jackoff and so on when someone is being an idiot.
My father's side of the family all came from Northern England, Manchester Blackpool area. Plus, I grew up on UK TV shows. So I find myself slipping in and out of British slang words and phrases all the time.
