I’d pony up, pay the $13k and sell that car. It’s never going to be the same again, they rarely are. Or scrap it out and walk away. Probably the same value if you have the means to get it done.

You are not wrong.
But my car was primarily for track and it obviously looked like I fixed it with a hammer.
But from the driver seat on the track it didn't make a difference for me as it drove fine.
I am just posting my experience for the peanut gallery, not everyone has the same goals with their "repairs".
