Three up top, two in the back with the rear seat folded down and one on the front seat. The only times we slept in a motel was once when it was raining so hard we could not set up. The other was after the brake lines split up in the Rockies! It seems there was water in the lines and it went down below freezing at night. We hadn't got out of the park when dad realized he had a problem. He drove all the way down the mountain using low gear, (two speed powerglide) and the emergency brake. We stopped every couple of miles so dad could let the transmission cool down and adjust the brake cable as needed. First town he found with a garage we stopped to get it fixed. However, it took a day and a half and with car up on the hoist we had to stay in the motel. It was fun having snow ball fights on the side of the road in July though!
