I guess I could opt for the repair kit or slime, but in the event those don't work, or a worse off incident, then i'm still stuck. I mainly use the car for mountains/canyon/track so waiting hours for a tow truck, even wih AAA roadside doesn't seem fun when I can swap a wheel in less than 10 min. :\

Yep under those driving conditions an actual spare is a must have. Would work for me since I am never more than a few minutes from one large urban center or another so wait in the event the repair kit didn't work would not be horrible. Would not want to be sitting on the side of some remote mountain road with a shredded tire and no cell service though.
