BTW, here are the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times for a 95 tercel, the fastest for any tercel...

I'll have finished the 1/8th before he gets to 60...

1. Agreed with @Jaden that @moparbrian's story is a fish tale. Auto 86's run about 7 seconds to 60. The '97 Toyota Tercel Redhawk reviewed below would run to 60 in about 9 seconds. Certainly the 1/4 mi. is a different but there is no place or way that the above could happen unless @moparbrian feel asleep for 5 seconds, has a problem with his car, or the Tercel was heavily modified.

97 Toyota Tercel Redhawk 5MT
Engine: 1.5 liter, 4-cylinder, twin-cam, 16 valve engine, 93 horsepower, 100 ft pds of torque at 4,400rpm
Curb weight: 2,010 lbs.

0-60 should come up in about 9.0 seconds

2. Anyone drag racing with an 86 in stock form is asking for disappointment and clearly bought the wrong car. Sell it immediately!
