Not really, but you're on the right track. Just need to understand vehicle dynamics and tactility part of the entire car, with how things communicate with driver, and responds to his inputs. The effort is all in that essence.
It's not mostly about small things like that, as this is a sports car, not a Camry.

The torque dip in the Zenki for all intensive purpose was to give the car great fuel efficiency by running it lean on purpose in that range, where it is often used for cruising and in-town driving... But well under the rpm zone where experienced driver would use on any section of a raceway. But perhaps, with the new exhaust manifold, that's been refined better too... (oops, did I just say something?) You didn't see this... And I was never here.
