Check that area I indicated on second photo.
The gap in the picture is when the engine is hot so over pipe was expanded. When it is cool, the gap is about 1/4". When I had rattling noise the gap was less than 1/8" when cool so when the over pipe got heat up, it made contact with that metal part. Hope it helps |
Thanks for the pictures. After driving it some more, I think it's just extra noise and vibration associated with the new setup. Also, like Kodyo said, removing the heat shields could remove some of the insulation from the sound.
The car sounds amazing with this new setup, but I don't think it's for me. As a daily driver, it's way too loud for my taste. Probably going to be going back to the old setup with just the motiv front pipe and ft86-speedfactory v1 exhaust.
