I think it has something to do with the additives package that they add to gas. Here in North Carolina, virtually all of the gas that is sold regardless of brand comes from the Colonial Pipeline. Yet many folks have said that certain gas stations/brands give them the crickets while others don't. Since it is the exact same gas, the only difference would be in the additives that each brand uses. I guess it is also possible that the age of the gas you buy could have an effect since it is known that ethanol will readily absorb water.
