It actually doesn't matter what mode. The valvebody will make the shifts hard ALL the time. That's why stage I is great because the first 3 gears are really sharp and the rest are OEM making the daily drive fine. The Stage II is every gear so no matter what, ever gear engagement is very sharp and snappy.

Personally, I love my car to be snappy and have the gears engage immediately without any hesitation so even for daily, Stage II works for me but to each their own!
