One of the first things I needed to add were tints, since the weather could get really hot here in Manila. I chose V-Kool OEM Tints (medium all around) since they had the highest heat rejection based on reviews online. Apparently, it was initially designed for aerospace and defence applications. It works by reflecting heat rather than absorbing heat, as with most tint brands. Heat absorbing films can cause intensive heat build-up in the car due to re-radiated heat and thermal stress onto the glass which could result in glass breakage or cracks. I also didn't want to make it too dark since I had them in my previous car and had a difficult time driving at night.
