I read this review and I knew you guys would be all over the MPG number and the price. Considering these 2 things are always a hot topic over here, it doesn't surprise me to see you guys reacting like this.
But did any of you actually look at the little notes on their chart?
MPG is "C/D Est" or Car and Driver Estimate. How the hell would they know how much this car can get unless they ran the tanks completely empty doing both city and highway driving? I wouldn't read too much into this estimate.
Same thing goes for MSRP. It also says "est" or estimate right next to the price. How do we know if they just didn't pull this number out of nowhere? Or maybe they googled the price somehow when writing the review. Again, I wouldn't put too much credit into this number considering we don't know the sources.
Speculate all you like but at the end of the day, I won't be worried about estimated MPG or final price until I'm at the Scion Dealership paying for my new FR-S. I wouldn't worry about what C&D says. In the end the dealership is what matters.
