So I did my own modification today, taking the ideas from this thread and expanding on it a bit...
I have a TRD intake so this might have even MORE benefit for me.
First thing I did was swiss cheese the plastic blocker plate thingy a bit more.
Then I used an exacto knife and scissors to modify my snorkel. I also used a spread clamp and heat gun to spread the intake out a bit more for a more rounded shape.
I decided to keep both mounting points installed and turned half of the "tube" into a bit of an airflow blocker/director so it should send air to the intake even better
The TRD is a LOT louder now, but its the kind of loud that only gets loud when you step on it which is what I wanted
Haven't done any high speed testing yet to see if it helps.
