Toyota 86 GTS
Late Saturday Night Modding
It has begun..
Updated. Progress pics.
Here's a little tip. There is a metal bracket that I believe is actually designed to lever the brass clip to be pushed forwards so the side markers can be removed easily. Stick a small flathead screwdriver in like so and lever it away from you to depress the brass tab while gently pulling the side marker outwards.
This is the 'back end' of the front Toyota badge. I am contemplating attacking the oval area with a drill/dremel/bastard file to allow a nice duct for the HKS intake to get air from.
STOCK Cold Air Feed
NO cold air feed
HKS Cold Air Feed
Weather Strip - Tip, there is a bit of rust developing between the gasket/front bumper. Would be a good idea to clean this periodically.
Some pictures of the HKS Cold Air Intake
As you can see, the HKS fits perfectly within the plastics of the OEM bumer. Gotta love JDM Kwalitee gear!!
Front of the HKS Cold Air Intake
HKS Box looking from above, notice there is no foam adhesive/gasket type interface between it and the stock/TRD Air Box
Foam adhesive/gasket type material is applied to the HKS Cold Air Intake now
