I'm not sure why it would matter between Street and STX, if the goal is to lighten the car. One issue with using a muffler delete in STX is the sound can be a bit loud if you go full tilt with a catless header, high-flow front pipe, and muffler-less exhaust. So if you run at sites with sound restrictions I would keep that in mind.
As for RPF1s, a lot of guys are running the +45 with 245s and it's really close even with coilovers, and some have had minor rubbing for whatever reason. Some have run 5mm spacers for more clearance. +35 isn't really an issue but those RPF1s aren't as easy to get ahold of.
